Recently, InnovaCare Health, one of the best Medicare and Medicaid Advantage organizations in Puerto Rico, started participating in the Health Care Payment Learning and Action Network, popularly referred to as the LAN. The LAN private and public partnership is an initiative that is aimed at offering quality-based payment schemes in the U.S. health system. Additionally, InnovaCare officials reported that the organization was ready to tie 30 percent of the payments to alternative healthcare payment methods on LinkedIn as stipulated by LAN goals.
This move by the InnovaCare healthcare provider shows its readiness to contribute towards the progress of the healthcare industry in the US. This is according to the organization’s Chief Executive Officer and President, Richard Shinto, M.D. Additionally, Shinto says that the move is in line with the organization’s mission, redefining of healthcare management and offering access to coordinated, innovative and cost-effective services to its clients. As such, the participation of InnovaCare in LAN is just one of the many ways that the provider is building stronger relationships with its clients. The LAN was established in March, 2015 by the HHS on innovacarehealth.com. The objective of LAN was to foster the alignment of payment approaches by both public and private healthcare providers.
